Welcome
Social Media Networking is two-way communication. It's about getting to know your customers and coworkers whether they are in the same office or across the ocean. It's about building relationships.
Social networking is not all about chat. It's a tool that allows consumers to connect with businesses and provide credible feedback about products and services.
Businesses who listen to their customers and implement changes can grow even in a poor economy. They can more readily meet the needs of those they serve.
In a busy world, social networking provides businesses and consumers with 24-hour per day interaction - on their own terms.
Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Social Networking... Do you know the difference?
An humorous analogy for those who still have questions.

You see a gorgeous girl at a party. You go up to her and say, “I am very rich, marry me!" (That is Direct Marketing)

You are at a party with a bunch of friends and see a gorgeous girl. One of your friends goes up to her and pointing at you says, "He is very rich, marry him!" (That is Advertising)

You see a gorgeous girl at a party. You go up to her and get her phone number. The next day you call and say, "Hi, I am very rich. Marry me!" (That is Telemarketing)

You are at a party and see a gorgeous girl. You get up and straighten your tie; you walk up to her and pour her a drink. You open the door for her, pick up her bag after she drops it, offer her a ride and then say, "By the way, I am very rich. Will you marry me?" (That is Public Relations)

You are at a party and see a gorgeous girl. She walks up to you and says, "You are very rich." (That is Brand Recognition)

You see a gorgeous girl at a party. You go up to her and say, "I am very rich. Marry me!" And she introduces you to her husband. (That's Supply and Demand)

You see a gorgeous girl at a party. You go up to her and before you say anything, another person come and tells her, "I'm rich.. Will you marry me?" and she goes with him. (That's competition eating into your market share.)

You see a gorgeous girl at a party. You go up to her and say, "I'm rich, marry me!" And she gives you a nice hard slap on your face. (That is Customer Feedback)

You see a gorgeous girl at a party. As you approach her, she says, “You’re Don’s friend. I recognize you from Facebook.” She gives you her cell number and asks you to call her when your company’s new product is released. While walking away you use your iPhone to check her age, marital status and her favorite restaurant. You invite her on a date. (Okay, that's one form of Social Networking.)
